Drum Clamp
Drum Clamps - Forklifts are actually utilized to lift, move and store items placed on pallets. For companies that use drums, they usually need an attachment to deal with moving, storing and lifting them. There are several various attachments which a company could utilize for all your drum moving, storing and lifting needs. Drum Positioner And Grab
The drum positioner can be used to load and unload drums off of racks, drum stands and vehicles. These are available in three and four tine models. The Rotator
The drum rotator is actually a forklift attachment which mounts on to the blades themselves. The purpose of the drum rotator is to be able to pick up the drum and rotate it upside down. The drum fits in to the rotator utilizing a steel clamp which fits over the center of the drum. The rotation is performed by either a crank handle or a continuous loop chain. The crank handle is designed for operations which take place below shoulder level. For operations that should occur above shoulder level, the continuous circle chain will be used.
Drum tines are simple fork mounted accessory that could be designed for unstacking or stacking 210-liter steel drums. Stacking involves nothing fancy, only easy horizontal positioning of the drums. The carriage-mounted attachments decrease the load center of the drums.
Automatic Tongs
Drum tongs come in both automatic and semi-automatic units that could be utilized in the open topped and tight head steel drum styles. The drum tongs could even be attached in many different ways to the lift truck. One way is to connect them beneath a fork-mounted hook. Another way is to connect them to a fork-mounted jib or a carriage mounted jib. Either the semi automatic and the automatic have a drum capacity of 210 liters. With the automatic, there is no requirement for the one operating it to ever leave the seat of the lift truck.
Rim Grip Handler
When drums require storage with inadequate area available, the Rim Grip Drum Handler is the perfect alternative in drum forklift attachments. This attachment would work for both the 210 L drums along with 120 L drums. The Rim Grip Handler works by using metal jaws to be able to hold the edge of the drum. It lifts the drum and sets it down without requiring any room between all of the drums. The typical unit in the trade is a zinc-plated handler, although, this particular attachment comes available in stainless steel for the food and drink industry.
